Lauren by Ralph Lauren is RL's lowest quality suit line. In fact I was shocked to see it's 30% polyester, I had a salesman at MW tell me all their suits are wool once, guess that wasn't true.

Suits should allow picking Jacket size and Pant size separately, I am 42R, and don't need a 36 waist pant that come with the suit, my pant size is much lower.

You don't need 100% wool suits all the time. Some synthetic fabric is good for warmer climates.

Synthetic fabric traps heat, if you are wearing a suit in a hot climate you want linen, cotton or even wool. You will get very hot in polyester. Think about what people wear in the desert - they wear light cotton/linen, never polyester.

Correct. For suits yes, cotton linen, for sports polyester is worn in hot weather for the wicking and quick drying ability.
This is a bit of a pet peeve of mine so forgive my rant...

It doesn't really matter what activity you are doing - if you want to trap heat you wear polyester. Remember when Under Armour got big because of their heat gear (that base layer people wear under their main clothes) - it was 100% polyester. If you buy US Army surplus thermal underwear (what infantry would wear in the coldest climates on earth) it's 100% polypropylene fabric.

Sports companies wanted to continue to use cheaper polyester in everything they make so they coined the term moisture wicking which successfully fooled some people into thinking it would keep you cool but it really just means that it doesn't absorb moisture. So you have to ask yourself before you do your sports activity, is it more important that I stay cool in general or is it more important that I don't absorb sweat into my clothes. If you are playing soccer and sweating profusely, 100% you should wear polyester or you will be drenched. In that case you definitely want the moisture repelling qualities of polyester. For most sports really, if you are truly an athelete outside then yes it's the way to go.

If you are in an air conditioned gym and not going to sweat that much, you may stay cooler wearing a more breathable material. If you are outside on a hot day and don't want to trap heat, you could consider wearing cotton - you may sweat less just from the material itself.

Personally, there have been times where I wish I was wearing cotton in hot climates because the polyester clothes caused me to sweat in the first place more than cotton or linen would have.

$25 coupon on Jab site and possible $25 Amex offer makes this the same price. Why would you ever not choose it in actual vbc wool and half canvas construction?

Edit: looks like only 42r and 42l left.

So that would be a good reason to not get it.

Finding cheap suites is nearly impossible for me, I need a 42R and 32W.

The link posted by another SDer doesn't show separates for this specific suit... would have been nice to have a nice suit in this pattern/design.

Do not be fooled by the strike through price. Is is a $150 suit being sold for $150. It's fine for what it is, but will look like a cheap suit when you wear it.

Spier just had their cheapest suits on sale for 250. That is leaps above quality and they had normal colors for those that are style challenged like me.
