I bought the Jackson JS32 DKA that is similar to this. It is a great beginner guitar for the money if you don't mind learning how to tune the Floyd Rose. Contrary to what some say, the Jackson licensed Floyd Rose holds tune fine. The finishing work is poor, but it is a very playable instrument. The pickups are well-regarded for high gain playing. The tuners are garbage, but that isn't such a big deal with a locking nut. The neck needed a light sanding to get it super smooth. If you will really mind stuff like poor paint finish or routing for the tremolo cover, then I'd look in the $350-450 range for better finish and components. If you just want a beginner guitar that you can divebomb on, then this is super fun and you should probably just get it.

Deal is for the JS24 so no locking nut/bridge and I can't speak about the JS24 but I've seen the JS32 go on sale for under 300 and like you mentioned is a great guitar for the price.

Thanks. I thought it had a Floyd Rose in the product pic, but now I see it is a one-direction tremolo. I'd factor in the cost of a good set of tuners when considering this guitar.

These are not quality guitars. Bad finish, QC issues, etc. Will they play? Can you learn on them? Sure. But you'll be spend more money to replace it sooner than later.

Do you mean this specific model, or Jackson guitars as a brand?
