Bought this for a similar price a few years back. Best purchase if you have any carpets at all. Using really hot tap water is needed for optimal results

I have the Hoover SmartWash+, great machine and cleans decent especially if you can get it for 40% off.

If you're going to use it on a semi regular basis, cleaning the brushes and suction lid that pops off gets annoying.

I just bought the Big Green as I think it's the better machine if you're planning on using it regularly.

I have had all sorts of different carpet cleaners over the past 15 years of pet ownership. This one is the best. Get it at theis price!

Definitely.
I have a whole floor of carpet, but at 2nd floor and I vacuum it regularly, and I don't have pet, so ProHeat should be enough for me. If I really need some tough work to do, I'll just rent one.
