At this price and below definitely. The sip lid I tend to find easier to clean than those with a straw. Aesthetically, looks better than some of the cheaper ones I have. Can't comment on whether which holds a drink colder or hotter.
For the average person, no, not really. I've owned 5-7 hydroflasks. I tested a hydroflask and thermoflask side by side. I added hot water to both, started at the same time and temp, and over 16-24 hrs the degrees were maybe like 7-10 apart, hydroflask coming out on top.
I imagine if you were backpacking or camping then yeah that ability to hold heat/cold better would make a difference. But if you refill your flask every couple hours then you'll do fine with those lesser known brands,

There are subtle things i like about HF.
First is how they design the twiist on their caps
You can open the wide caps in 2 twists and close in 2 twists (make the last twist firm).
My cheapies from Walmart take 5 twists to open and 5 to close.
So an open/close is 4 twists for HF and 10 for say Ozark Trail.
It doesn't sound like much, but on a hot hike you can open a HF 10 times for 20 twists and a OT for 100.
I got sick of all the wrist action on my cheapies.
Then HF is often lighter than the cheapies.
An OT might keep water a litle cooler in the 10th hour but its also heavier and bigger. - the twist cap handle ands height.
The drawback is that HF can dent easier if you drop it.
I also like the straw caps because you can drink while driving and not need to raise your head
The straw cap also works without the straw but you have to lift bottle.
A trick to HF bottles is to make the last twist a little more firm
You can think a lid is on tight but you can get a little more of a seal with a firmer twist.
The last twist isn't as bad with OT bottle becauseof its 5 twist close.
I also like the HF colors and finish better - the colored rubber bootts too
Resale of HF bottles is better because people like thme more.
I also like the warranty.
I had a 10 year old 40 oz bottle get a rust stain inside on the bottom
Hydro Flask sent me a new one no problem - they are like Osprey that way
