I just replaced my Nest Wifi with the TP-Link Deco XE-5300 from Costco. I guess I might pick this system up to try but so far the TP-Link Deco has been good.

yes, each of these 4 nest pro devices is identical and interchangeable. So you can split them with your friend depending on your coverage needs

No, one is a router and three are extenders

These are all the same hardware. You can choose to use one as the router and the other 3 as extenders...or split them up between 4 friends and everyone gets a router.

I bought these when they first came out. They were not as good as the old Google Nest WiFi routers. I heard they made updates, but I can say from first hand experience that these were not very good and actually made my coverage and speeds worse.

These from professional reviews are the SLOWEST 6E mesh kits on the market, and outside of pure performance their firmware is garbage. I would not touch these with a 10foot pole and this is a complete pass at any price.

Reviews on costcos webpage reflect professional reviews too so they are spot on.

The XE-5300 is superior hands down.

Agree, I ended up returning this 4-pack since it ended up being worse than the single Comcast router/wifi combo.

In the 4-pack I received, all units were identical. You can split them up.

I moved from the prior generation nest wifi to these. I like it so far. Placing the pucks in the exact same spots, I'm getting better coverage/speeds consistently. The downside is you lose speaker/assistant capabilities which was nice.

I wouldn't replace a Deco with these. deco's so far have been the best investment.
