Yeah but are you missing out on anything modern technology provides? Unlimited stuff? Things like that which would hinder taking advantage of maximum services. My getting rid of the grandfather plan made complete sense. Perhaps you've limited yourself to using wifi? I'm just trying to get to the bottom of why grandfathering would actually make sense. Maybe I'm just more maxed out. Dunno.

Yeah, I am looking at this and wondering the same dang thing. I might call them today to see what the word is.

EDIT - just spoke to Verizon, it looks like you would need to "change" your plan to the 1GB plan. That would likely get your on their new pricing structure and all that entails.

I hadn't looked at my bill in a bit - it turns out my prices went up sharply a few months back, I need to reevaluate this...

This has nothing to due with there new plans. If you add a Verizon home internet you'll get NFL Sunday Ticket and You Tube TV until February. There no contract lol $35 a month with a line of service $70 without a phone line.
Desperate are good marketing read what you want into it but don't make assumptions if you are not versed in the stipulations.

Bro boost is hot farking trash. This is not a joke Boost is owned by dish Network. They have literally 30 megahertz of radio spectrum they can use. Verizon has the majority of the 600 megahertz 700 megahertz 1800 m and 1900 megahertz. $25 a month is absolute hog shit I wouldn't pay for hog s***.

In my situation the new plans are worse. We have 5 lines, three were at the lowest unlimited rate of $30/line and the other 2 were on one of the do more/get more plans for $40 and included Disney plus apple music, travel pass days. In theory we could switch some to the new $27 base plans, except that that would cancel the bill credits we are getting from phones purchased last year. The 2 lines that are on the old $40 plans would now be $42 and do not include Disney or apple music, those would be extra. So for me it's not worth it and it won't be until we pay off all the phones in 2 years.

Oh, that's not the grandfathered plan I was referring to. The "grandfathered" plan is from like 10 years ago when they still tracked your minutes, but you had true unlimited internet, albeit at 4g.

I finally gave that up when they started offering free disney+, Hulu, etc. Because it was so much cheaper and truly unlimited again

I thought that was the current plan still available
