Existing customers need to get a new phone for free NFL Sunday Ticket? LMFAO
We are a few months away from the launch of the new iPhones. Last two years Verizon has given $1000 trade in on up to 3 year old iPhone models.
Wait for that or Black Friday when the current Android models drop 60-70%
This is a trash deal as is the $75 Netflix Verizon deal also on the front page.
At least Verizon got their Slickdeals' advertising moneys worth
I'm not sure about the XS trade in since it's getting kind of old and it may not have that high of trade in value when the newer models come out.
The current iphone 14's will drop by $100 in cost.

I assume they made you sign a 3 year contract to get that free phone

2 - he could care less about the upcoming "changes" to the iPhone
Yes, it's 3yr discount, but again, it's fine. In 3yrs, he will be working and can afford to do whatever he wants. For now, this is the last phone I am providing for him.
Trade in promos require you to trade. That's stupid when I can get a phone free, plus make $450 on selling?
Anyone with exsisting accounts just FYI, you may be able to let customer service work for you, obviously YMMV.

2. 2 year plan is VASTLY superior to a 3 year plan as by year 2 the battery will need replacement - min $80-100. Not to mention if any damage occurs in 3 years you are responsible for it. One more year for potential accidental drops, screen damage, water damage etc.
3. Trade in promos are not stupid unless you are trading in for an older phone. I traded in an iPhone SE Gen 1 2020 for $1000 - retailed for $400 at the time. So I got $600 plus the retail price $400 and signed a 2 year deal. Traded in an iPhone 8 for $900 lol and paid $100 for a new iPhone 13. What person would pay nearly $1000 for a nearly decade old phone?
4. Your year old iPhone will provide less value after 3 years whether thru trade in or cash sale esp considering this is the year they are changing the charging port and many people prefer USB-C
5. Rules #1-100 - you dont buy an iPhone 90 days before the new one comes out. Carriers are getting more desperate - last two years were the best trade in deals since the original iPhones 4/5/6.
But if none of that matters to you it's cool maybe someone else will utilize this common sense
