Usually nothing for existing customers.

Cancel your service now, sign up for this deal under a different name (someone else that lives with you)

That's how I've gotten yearly deals

On Gigabit tier $70 a month with Autopay from checking. Everytime my offer runs out, something or other works out with Xfinity. If one CS doesn't help, disconnect and call again. Doing this since 10+ years. I have Verizon available in my area as well which is tad cheaper on gigabit tier, but I keep Xfinity.

Xfinity pricing is always based on the fact how much people can spend in their service area + how many other competitors are there. So lot of YMMV.

Yes, it only means they lock you into that price for 2 years, without risk of increase. You can cancel anytime. If a better deal came along, I could switch to it I presume.

can someone explain WHY would someone need 400mbps for everyday use? it's Bisard and insane unless you're downloading heavy files or p0rn on regular bases

I am paying $10/mo for xfinity 75mbps and $10/mo for xfinity 200mbps at another home and its same experience.

You shouldn't have to pay $50/mo to watch netflix 4k or facebook.com

Rather invest in a GOOD router that will support those speeds thru out the house and multiple devices.

200 is perfect, i have 5 kids at home that stream, use their deices, also i work from home on video calls, never had an issue. But the problem i had was hitting the 1.2T data cap they have and then they change for the overages. So for me instead of $35 for the 200, $50 for unlimited @ 400 is a way better deal just for the unlimited aspect. 75mbps didnt work out.

There are ton of people out there who use data for different purposes. Run a longer duration speed test from fast.com and try to use internet from other devices. You can see the role that a bandwidth number plays.

I moved and Xfinity ot CenturyLink fiber were available. I dropped Xfinity so fast (was paying 65 for 250mbps before). The whole 1-2 year BS cycle of fighting for a decent price is ridiculous.

I'm on CenturyLink gigabit and it's been $50 since day one. No price increases, no worries, no contract.
Don't count your chickens. Clink recently upped their $65 "Forever" price to $75 in the PNW.

I currently pay $20 for 800 Mbps. It also includes the mobile discount since have Xfinity mobile. In my area, we have 3 different options for internet and Xfinity always gives me the best deal.
Where are you located? That's a great rate.

$25 per month for 400 and they don't charge for their modem/router. Unfortunately that POS stinks and doesn't even turn off its wifi in bridge mode.

Am I the only one that thinks we're dealing with 'frog in hot water' syndrome here? How is it that we have to jump through so many hoops just to keep from getting gouged just to end up with a tremendous 10mbps upload.

Most other countries and even other Americans don't have to deal with this nonsense.

It's almost cheaper and faster to literally get your internet from outer space now.

I pay $40 for 300/300. I don't need 300/300, but anything available for less is dsl speeds of under 10mbs. I do need more than 10mbs.

For a lot of people the plans you have available are simply not an option.

I think it all depends in your area if they have a competitor or not.

I vaguely remember seeing something about a rate hike months ago but my price hasn't increased. I'm also in the PNW. When I signed up it was I think a targeted price for my development (new construction home) and the normal deal was around 65.

Xfinity wants $75 for 1 gig so even if my plan goes up, no reason to switch. The only reason I might consider it is if I wanted mobile coverage too but I'm not sure if it's worth it anyways. It would effectively be $40 extra for two lines if I switched now at the low tier unlimited price ($90 total for 1 gig + 2 lines).

This is area dependent. In my area, 400mbps is $55 and the 1gbps is $75

I'm currently paying $50 a month for 400mbps & xfi complete. Would love 1GBPS & xfi for the same price (doubtful).

The data cap is the worst part about xfinity and their customer service isn't too far behind. It sux when they are the only provider in your area and they know it. I have to pay them an extra $30 a month for unlimited data and my own equipment
