Usually nothing for existing customers.

Cancel your service now, sign up for this deal under a different name (someone else that lives with you)

That's how I've gotten yearly deals

On Gigabit tier $70 a month with Autopay from checking. Everytime my offer runs out, something or other works out with Xfinity. If one CS doesn't help, disconnect and call again. Doing this since 10+ years. I have Verizon available in my area as well which is tad cheaper on gigabit tier, but I keep Xfinity.

Xfinity pricing is always based on the fact how much people can spend in their service area + how many other competitors are there. So lot of YMMV.

Yes, it only means they lock you into that price for 2 years, without risk of increase. You can cancel anytime. If a better deal came along, I could switch to it I presume.

can someone explain WHY would someone need 400mbps for everyday use? it's Bisard and insane unless you're downloading heavy files or p0rn on regular bases

I am paying $10/mo for xfinity 75mbps and $10/mo for xfinity 200mbps at another home and its same experience.

You shouldn't have to pay $50/mo to watch netflix 4k or facebook.com LMAO

Rather invest in a GOOD router that will support those speeds thru out the house and multiple devices.

Not sure if it's been said or not but OH MY GOD they will not match the new price scale if you're an existing customer. You will literally have to call, deal with their 30 minutes of bullshit to cancel, cancel AND THEN call back and sign up. This can all be done in a period of five minutes but that is the only way I could get service at the new price. It even uses all my old account details RIGHT down to assigned IP.

So dumb. I hate Comcast so much (it's all that's available) but at least I'm getting Gigabit for LESS than I was paying for 200mbps prior.
You used the same name and everything?

This is a good pricing point . The get a better deal through retention process has gotten way faster and easier and indont even bother changing the name on the account (and I'm an authorized user on a few old people's accounts, so i can renegotiate on their behalf as well. 5 minute call). But not all deals are available every where as Comcast knows exactly how much competition there is in each territory

Yeah, I hate the yearly verbal sparring with CS, can you imagine the new employee hiring? List all dates and locations as a member of the school debating team.
I did save about $40 during my most recent contest.

I"m currently at $60 for 400 mpbs.. which is the "fast". so if I get bored I'll see if can get on the new rate with limited hassle

for new customers in my area it's only $50 for 400mbps. so not worth the savings if i have to switch to a different name.. and even have 1 hour of downtime..

I thought about switching to gig for a different provider for $70 , but they seem to have lots of outages. and that's a non starter for WFH jobs..

Maybe because every website nowadays is slathered in ads and loading those ads at 75mbps takes forever?
Maybe people want their websites to load quicker?
Maybe people have multiple family members and having a paltry 75mbps of throughput slows everyone down?

Pretty rude to imply everyone that wants a faster internet speed is automatically looking at p0rn or file sharing, no?

Crawl back into your early 90's internet speed and stop passing judgement.

I wish xfiniy service was better in my area. Last time I tried I had 3 txt msg from xfinity reporting outages in a little over a week - one of the outages lasted several hours. Fortunately I didn't disconnect my att fiber service because I was skeptical anyways, so it was easy for me to go back.

I wfh and internet is a big deal so xfinity is no bueno in my area.

It seems they are feeling the pressure from T-Mobile and Verizon 5G Home Internet. I switched from Xfinity to T-Mobile 4 months ago, I won't consider going back to Xfinity unless they remove their stupid monthly data cap.

We're both gamers and have game updates all the time; still doesn't come close.

I currently pay $20 for 800 Mbps. It also includes the mobile discount since have Xfinity mobile. In my area, we have 3 different options for internet and Xfinity always gives me the best deal.
best deal i have seen but is this repeatable ? most likely not
Whats the cap on data before they throttle ?

Xfinity can go suck my ethernet plug LOL

$25 / mo and no data caps and works even blackouts = https://imgur.com/a/r9abQ9C
