The best thing to happen to internet in my area was TMobile Home internet. Not because that service is better, but because Xfinity finally started actually offering incentives to not cancel. For a good 5 years, without any competition, they would just allow the cancellation to go through without much fighting. I felt like Bill Murray in Stripes - I had nowhere else to go.
The service has been better for me. The upload speeds on T-Mobile absolutely smoke Xfinity. Going on 2 years now. Haven't missed Xfinity even a little bit.

Everytime I've gotten a "deal" as an existing customer it has been by: saying I saw one of these deals, asking for it, suggesting I move to another service provider in my area, asking again for a discount, bringing up how long I've been a loyal customer, a whole lot of back and forth and finally getting a lower rate.

tl;dr, paying with a part of your soul is the only slickdeal I've found as an existing customer.
As a customer service rep, we make fun of your kind during lunch breaks.

Im pretty sure this deal includes equipment. I have free xFi Complete and free equipment for 2 years
It's still a crummy deal. 24 months not a long time in age of everyone needs home internet.

Mines was $10 dollars for 24 months, then 25. So when that free period ends, expect to pay.

New users... If you really push them. They give you $35 for 400mbps per month after autopay with direct bank account.

On Gigabit tier $70 a month with Autopay from checking. Everytime my offer runs out, something or other works out with Xfinity. If one CS doesn't help, disconnect and call again. Doing this since 10+ years. I have Verizon available in my area as well which is tad cheaper on gigabit tier, but I keep Xfinity.

Xfinity pricing is always based on the fact how much people can spend in their service area + how many other competitors are there. So lot of YMMV.
Don't get sucked in with these guys. The customer service is so bad I think it's the worst in the world.

As long as internet works, could care less. Their CS ain't the best, which I agree, but don't think so Verizon is great either.

yep, i had verizon 5g home internet, it worked well, but man did their CS suck, i spent hours trying to get it to work right and activated. even went to a store to have them 'help" people seem to love Verizon, but man did their CS suck, even more then Xfinity. We have Xfinity stores in my area, and those reps were super friendly and helpful when i picked up my modem.

Fair enough. I move often so not worrying about it. I dont mind reshopping/resigning up in two years

Anyone on here have Xfinity fiber ? I know that it's pretty rare but I am wondering what kind of speed packages they offer for this and if there is a way to not have to rent there modem.

I have internet, TV and phone service under the old Triple Play which is no longer offered. I have been out of my introductory pricing for over a year, so I've been paying at least $100 more than I was originally. I was hoping to get a discount now that the internet pricing is lower.

I went to the Xfinity webiste and priced the same services under the new pricing plan. To my surprise the cost of what I have now is almost identical, well actually cheaper under my current plan. I guess I'll just be stuck with what I'm paying currently since I'm sure the customer service reps won't budge on giving me a discount. Oh well.

It's not crummy if you sign up for new account after 24 months. If Xfinity keeps on doing this, I won't need to buy my modem and router.
