This is 3.8lbs.
A 16" MacBook pro is 4.7lbs and the 15" MacBook air is 3.3lbs so its comparable.

Drawback is that it is an Acer. They're so poorly made.. I had one a few years ago that just broke apart. Never buying one again

I'm probably in the minority but I hate non-touch screen laptops when you do not have separate mouse. If you are at a desk with a wireless mouse it doesn't matter though. Also Windows, since 8-ish or so, has fantastic integrated touch support. My issue is finding a touch screen laptop with a decent GPU as those rarely go on sale.

It provides you with an opportunity to personalize your laptop's screen with a unique pattern of smudges and fingerprints.

Disagree. My most recent Acer was a mid level laptop that is 6 years old with zero problems.

I am sorry but you you haven't owned any Acer laptops. Have an Aspire V5 from 2012(i5 3rd Gen), An Aspire 1 (for kids, with N4000) and Spin 5(i7 12th Gen) without any issues
The only complaints? V5 has very poor touchpad and Spin 5 is hell lot difficult to open with one hand

We are now awaiting to listen what you have had that broke apart.

I am sure you are part of the Think Different clan. You will only get the revelation of the Benefits of touchscreen once Uncle Timmy announce a MacBook with one. Till then, its useless. After that moment, it would become *I don't even know why would they Not offer a touchscreen on windows laptop? What's the point*

I am sure you are still rocking a flip non-touchscreen phone correct?

Incorrect. Those things are way too fragile. Nokia 3310 has never failed me.

Oh Nokia 3310 -- Built like a tank! Lumia series was its ill-fated spiritual successor

I'm still rocking an Acer refurb I found on SD about 8 years ago.

I suppose yours is a couple years newer than our 2012 model. The entire laptop was a hallow constructed plastic. They keyboard required heavy typing to ensure no keys were skipped. I remember typing an essay and having to always go back and rewrite words that missed a letter nearly every sentence. Super frustrating. Im sure they've gotten better, but I've dodged Acer ever since.

The part that came apart was the hinge where the laptop folded and met with the charging port.
