Loop Hero is a repeat too, but it was only offered for free for 24 hours back in Decemeber 2022, so maybe some people missed it.

If you don't have BTD6 yet, I have much love for it. I'm getting close to getting the daily reward 800 days. I am by no means an expert and marvel at people that figured out how to beat some of the expert maps on CHIMPS. It's a great game to play and be able to pick up whenever. If you don't set the rounds to auto start, I imagine you can play it pretty easily while playing another game.

Loop Hero was surprising. I played on gamepass and logged about 30 hours to get all the achievements... I don't consider that time wasted.

I think it's helpful to understand going into Loop Hero that the game is supposed to be a grind. When you play roguelikes such as Hades, there are unlocks that make the game easier as you go, but it's really your skill improving that lets you finally complete the game. Loop Hero is more about the grind than it is about your ability. You're building houses back at your little town so that you can carry more items into each run for little stat bonuses. While you will get better at the strategy of the game as time goes on, you're going to have to grind through the same levels over and over if you want to beat the bosses.

That's not to say it's a bad game, just know what you're getting into. The mechanics of the game encourage you to not try to fight the final boss each time, but it goes against standard game logic, so it's hard to actually follow that nudge.

BTD6 is my absolute favorite mobile game and is the first tower defense game I've ever found engaging enough to keep playing. Highly recommend!
