I've been using this for the Samsung Odyssey G9 49" monitor for many months now. Works really well- you'll definitely want a second pair of hands to hold the monitor in the position you want while you tighten the screw thing with the Allen key. I don't really move the monitor a lot or extend it but it's very sturdy. I have mine attached to a standing desk so it gets shook when the desk stops moving and hasn't made the monitor slouch at all.

Hm did you by any chance accidentally skipped the part in the manual where you can adjust the tension?

You have to select the single arm version on that page. The web address doesn't change between the selections and it defaults to the dual monitor version.

Interesting - looks just like a different brand I bought on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08LMLFFNK/

Mine (like this one) claims to support my monitor's size and weight - but I can't get it to actually hold up and in position when extended.

I'm curious if it's just me or are their numbers a bit too generous or referring to max weight when arm not extended.

As such, mine doesn't work in the way I'd hoped - just a FYI for anyone considering this for a larger monitor

If it works, then it seems like a solid deal as I pay a fair bit more for an off brand from Amazon

Has anyone actually purchased this over the Ergotron HX for the Samsung g9? I've been considering mounting mine for some time and this price seems too good to be true. Any feedback?

Yeah I didn't think there were any other mounts out there that could handle something as heavy as the G9 and had to splurge for the Ergotron back in 2021 a year after I got the monitor. It's 2023, so in the 3 years time the G9 has been around, I would hope there'd be decent competition than a $300+ mount. I'd say you take the gamble or keep finding reviews matching your use case.

Anyone has the specs for distances? Particularly how many inches the monitor can go side to side? It's not on the sales page or manual.

You should take into consideration the sturdiness of your desk as well. If it's not super sturdy, you will experience your monitor moving with every vibration. I have a Steelcase table and tried mounting my large monitor to it, but couldnt get past the jiggle. For this reason I decided to switch to a wall mount. I attached it to a stud and I love it.

It's rough having that monitor attached to me but I am glad that I can help.

Any recommendations on a wall mount? I wanted an arm to hold a 27in monitor, but my desk has no edges to clamp one to, so I'm going to have to find an arm that I can mount to the wall, so any first hand experience or advice would be appreciated!

I have this stand for my 49" Samsung. Paid double, and I am very happy with it, although I am admittedly not a picky person with stuff like this. It just works. If you do a reverse image search on it you can find it the same one other places, but for more money.
