I love Swissgear and my last backpack from them lasted 7+ years, but I'm worried their quality has fallen off. My previous ScanSmart had actual metal zippers whereas now they switched to those cheaper nylon zippers. A backpack only lasts as long as it's zippers.

High Sierra is still my go-to brand, but even they reduced strap widths recently on their best models. Still better than others, but not as they were a few years back.

Bought this bag in January and ended up taking it back. The zippers move very easily... So much so that they will unzip on their own...ie, if you let the main zippers meet in the middle, you'll end up with half your bag flapping behind you. You can make sure they are always all the way to one end, but that's easy to forget and not worth the headache in my opinion (and something I didn't have to deal with on previous Swiss gear bags)

Bought this so I can carry my laptop while on a trip to Cancun. The zipper enclosure for the laptop would constantly open on its own. My laptop ended up falling out and broke. I returned the bag. Horrible design.
