Besides the backlit keyboard, it really isn't a deal compared to the Lenovo flex for $200 even though that one was refurbished. I guess vega 8 is better than iris graphics

Need to say this is pure speculation on my part as this is the result of a google search .. and I have no idea exactly what kind of screwdriver you'd need (standard star head type screwdriver? Flat head screwdriver? Something else? ) to unscrew the screws on the back .. having said that
Having said that I admit I'm a bit spoiled by my acer laptops -the "right" kind of acer aspire model (hopefully they're still making them?) has an empty drive bay slot for a 2.5 form factor SSD drive and I love the option of having a 2nd hard drive in there to put documents on , backups of Windows and so forth ... I guess a good external hard drive would work too in that aspect though.
Note that the video above talks about how to swap out the m.2 SSD drive too and given how crazy low the drive prices are right now it might be worth considering snagging one and just swapping out for a bigger m2 drive.. there's a raging debate over whether m2 drives with DRAM are necessary, some arguing it's worth the additional expense and will make the drive last longer, others saying it's unnecessary hype and just spend your money on a larger capacity m2 drive without DRAM instead. Having said that here's one recommendation according to the internet
but again there's a ton of debate about that with some saying "Forget the overhyped SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus spend your money on a 2 TB drive that's not this instead" .. .so if you want to ignore DRAM this is apparently also recommended at 2 TB
and I will admit I am definitely a novice, especially with the m2 drive thing I'm hoping someone more educated than me on these matters will jump in and recommend a cheap but reliable 2 TB or 4 TB or whatever m2 drive
It has two memory slots according to its spec, so it's definitely upgradable. What I want to know is if it comes with one 8GB stick or two 4GB sticks. Hopefully the former so that I do not have to buy two 8GB to upgrade.
