Every time im at the grocery store theres at least one brand's tub on sale for $2.50. Would need to go thru $50 (not counting all the work and ingredients) to break even. In reality I'd use this a handful of times as a novelty like those breadmakers and it would end up collecting dust in the pantry
We have the 16 and 24 oz Creami. And we use them all the time in the Deep South as we work a lot outside. It's great to cool down.

As for work... LMAOlaugh out loud If opening a can of fruit or a bag of frozen fruit and adding it to the pint and filling it with milk, half&half or cream is work, then IDK...

We love it b/c we can customize the flavors and ingredients. Have one person who needs lots of extra calories (using mostly cream and extra sugar), another who does not need it but loves ice cream (using whole milk all the way, no sugar).

Besides fruit, we use instant breakfast bags, dissolve in the liquid and freeze. Has all the flavors already in it.

Great for ripe bananas or other fruit that otherwise may get thrown out. Recently, we had a bounty of figs. Many of those went into Creami jars for great fig ice cream (figs, drop of real vanilla, cream or milk and for some extra sugar, for others only the first three ingredients. That's it).

You cannot find the varieties of flavors and ingredients on the store shelf. Our ice cream has 3 ingredients max (flavoring either fruit or powdered breakfast stuff, emulsifier in the form of milk, half&half or cream and for some, sugar). That's it. No extra stuff...

And as for the cream cheese in the Ninja recipes... we don't use that at all. No cooking, no nothing. Still great ice cream and takes about 30 seconds to fill a pint jar, 10 seconds to take it to the freezer and 10 to take from freezer to machine. Granted, you have about 90 seconds for the pints to be creamed. So, that's less than 3 minutes.

But it's good if you know you won't use it much and now buy it. Leaves it for those who do want to buy it Big Grin

Im afraid about this dying on me 4 months down the line and the woot 3-month warranty runs out. Does anyone know how the asurion warranty works and if its worth it? I didnt see it in the checkout option with the ninja creami so i'm not sure how I would get it if its worth.

I have been kicking myself since not jumping on the Costco deal, which was the standard model. I finally jumped on this one and so glad it's the bigger containers, since we have a larger family. I hope it's worth all the hype! I hate the color (olive green), but that's all that was left and I am tired of hunting for one to be in stock anywhere! This will be amazing in this 103 degree hot and humid weather! Thanks!

What did you end up doing about it? Would you jump on this deal again from your experience?
At this point, unless I specifically needed the bigger containers, I would stick to the smaller ones that the smaller cheaper containers (I have both).

Thanks! I'm for one. Paid with CC that extends warranty a year.
Which credit card do you have that offers warranty service on refurbished items? Every credit card I've had that offers a warranty extension specifically excludes refurbished products.

Well, I guess it's too late now since sold out, but this is a great deal. I've been looking online for a month now nearly every day and nothing. I really want to get it from the Big Box store, which gives me confidence with the return policy, considering I've heard many people say that it breaks a few months in. Costco would have been the ideal. However, it is not sold anywhere. Even used on eBay, people are selling this way more. So to get it from this site with a 30-day return policy is the best we're going to get unless you want to wait till the wintertime when they're back in stock.

You're correct. I'm using Citi Premier. Their terms don't say anything specific to refurbished, but the underwriter includes refurbished as used/pre-owned. Oh well.
