Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

4K@30Hz.

Had to scroll way too far down to find it. It's like they're actively trying to hide this info.

7in1 and still no Ethernet.
Aside from the form factor, the cheap 6in1 Steam Deck docks seem like a better option. They do 4k@60hz and have Ethernet.

4k@120Hz is going to be hard to find and pricey. I did find one on Amazon, but I have no idea about the "Ankmax" brand. Spec-wise, this is pretty amazing. Even has 2.5Gbps Ethernet and 10Gbps USB. Currently over a hundred bucks, though.

Good find, OP. If I didn't have 3 different 100W PD ones already, I'd be all over this.

The only thing missing on this page is the inevitable UGREEN trolls….

Better off with a real Thunderbolt hub if your device can handle it. Collectively the upstream connection is 40Gbit to be able to provide full throughput to all attached devices downstream, whether two DP video connections or multiple 10Gbit and 5Gbit ports as well as Ethernet. https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=36656

This hub is trash, the USB-C is using USB 2.0 not 3.x, so it cannot pull enough bandwidth or power to plug most things in. I bought this, then ended up buying the $50 Anker that it copies and threw away the UGREEN. This product shouldn't even exist, it's useless for anything more than a mouse and keyboard, you can't plug in a webcam, plugging in a drive is problematic. Mind you I'm able to plug in a 200mbit camera into my Anker hub with other devices at the same time.

Not saying you're wrong about being better off with a true Thunderbolt device, but the Ankmax hub I linked also has 40Gbps uplink. So this particular argument is not really applicable.
From the amazon listing... "Equipped with a USB4 upstream port bandwidth of 40 Gbps"

Plus, the original request was for a USB-C hub that could do HDMI 2.1 / 4k@120Hz and the Monoprice unit you linked only has DisplayPort and only good for 4k@60Hz. And that unit also only has Gigabit Ethernet. So spec-wise, not nearly as good as the Ankmax hub and about the same price. Of course, the Ankmax specs might be rainbow unicorns - I haven't used that brand personally.

Thunderbolt will extend the internal Thunderbolt bus differently than USB. Will support two monitors independently, depending on your native Mac chipset. Still no comparison between USB 4 (assuming your machine even has it) and Thunderbolt 3 or 4.

Also, from my experience, running HDMI @ 120Hz across USB is actually not really as solid or responsive as DP @ 60Hz running off a Thunderbolt dock, so YMMV.

I have the new base model Mac mini m2. And I've been trying to use my new Samsung 55" tv as a monitor with game mode turned on. Plugged in via hdmi; It shows the options for only 50-60hz even though the tv supports 120hz. I am able to select a "low version" of the 1080p and 4K resolutions which are super blurry but allow me to access the 120hz. But there's no point cause I can't see anything without hurting my eyes at least. Is there any way to get the 120hz with the regular high resolution instead of the Low version..?! I am willing to buy whatever dongle at this point really, if anyone can help. I think Apple has secretly done their magic as always and are blocking certain signals/refresh rates to monitors… as I have an LG ultra gear as my secondary which goes up to 4k@144hz via just the hdmi… very confusing situation. Reached out to Apple last night about it and they couldn't explain anything really, just told me to go ask Samsung what's wrong lol both companies always pointing finger at the other one, that seems to be the main problem with cross component compatibility.
