I just got off the phone with Ring because the unit lost power because the rubber button came off. Out of warranty since 2019. They offered the $150 and gave me a code to use in their Ring website. She walked me through it. I don't know if it is a one time code but here it is for those that have bad malfunction units.

I hate that ring won't just replace those defective buttons that crack in the heat. I have the same problem and have contacted Ring to no resolution. I refuse to buy a new ring doorbell pro just because of the defective button that'll crack again after a few years.

Didn't work for me. But my ring pro video turned blue/red. It's out of warranty but I tried calling and got a 30% coupon. Debating getting the pro2 ~$100 or eufy which doesn't have a subscription. Eufy is dual camera but I don't like how the wired doesn't work with original doorbell. And the battery works with doorbell and has a hub but has slower response time.

Is it possible that Ring dropped the price to 150 because they're finally upgrading to 2 or 4k? I have several of their devices and love the ecosystem, but I'd jump at replacing them with higher resolution.

I've been very happy with the jump from pro to pro 2. Main issue before was that I had to attach two wall wedges — one to angle left and one to angle down, yet I still couldn't get a good view of packages that were dropped off at my front door. The pro 2 has a better fish eye that captures it all. App has been almost perfect over the past year with 1 partial day of downtime in the past week.

Rather than trying to pawn off my old used Ring (which no one really seemed to care for), I was able to trade it in to Amazon for $52 credit.

Quality of the feed has been great and the annual subscription didn't seem too bad all things considered.

I've used lifetime warranty a few times, I even got my ring replaced for free with door bell crack, before I was illegible for lifetime. Meaning, I bought the doorbell like 3 years before I started subscription.
