Yep. I have some pretty wrecked knees from overdoing it in MS/HS/college/army, but I recently started running again to train my daughter up for cross country tryouts. I have to say, shoes have advanced a lot since the last time I was a serious racer. My knees feel a lot better with my new Saucony Triumph 20 shoes I got on a recent slickdeal. After some research, it appears that what you want for bad knees is a shoe with a 4mm or less heel drop, which is half that of my Triumphs. My next pair will have zero or low heel drop and a rocker shape.

Which HOKA or other manufacturer do you suggest as the best shoes for walking? I have high arches and narrow feet. I really liked the BONDI 6 and wore them out and then bought the BONDI 8, thinking they would be great. The 8's were far less comfortable and my feet tired very quickly. I would really like to get that "walking on clouds" feeling back. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Thank you for posting a Hoka deal. It's the only shoe that I wear but in this case the shoe is a trail runner as in title don't think you'll get any longevity with this particular shoe If you use these for normal walking or running I had to take mine back.

I just got Clifton 9s and I think it's the best shoe I've ever bought.

I have both Hoka Clifton 8 and Brooks Adrenaline GTS. I slightly prefer the Brooks personally, but it's very subjective. I have pretty narrow feet as well. I think the Hoka had higher arch support than the Brooks out of the box.

Any avid runners here? Been planning to take up running but how have your joints been affected by it?

I have Hoka Mach 4 and now Hoka Mach 5. Best shoes ever, I go only walks for 5+ hours and they feel great. I had get size 13 instead of 12, they have a narrow fit. Usually buy them locally at dicks.

I like the soft plush feel. Do I go with Clifton 9 or Bondi 8?
