This monitor just came out so, no it hasn't been $1300 before( maybe you're thinking of that none OLED)

As for the reviews I was one who wrote a bad one for vertical banding. Customer service has been a pain to navigate and my work order has been cancelled bc they didn't copy my photos from Samsung to the 3rd party vendor.

Basically buyer beware but I do love the oled if I can ever get my issues resolved.

I use this all day for gaming and for work, have screen fairly close to where I sit. No neck problems or anything ever.

Edit: I use the Odyssey G9 which is the same size, so not this specific OLED monitor

Samsung.com edu/epp is $440 off for those that qualify. $1759.99. If you don't qualify, this is a pretty good deal.

Fret not if you ordered this monitor early. I just received an email from Samsung thanking me for being an early buyer of the product with a $200 gift card code on top of the original $250 gift card and $50 discount given for pre-ordering in addition to the EDU discount pricing. Definitely one slick monitor after all said and done! Too bad I am chucking that gift card into the void by tempting me on the Tab S9 Ultra. I used the $250 on the Z Fold 5 pre-order.

I went LG G2 55" and 120hz works just fine without any monitor glitches. And that was $1500 months ago.

I saw this at best buy and was impressed with the resolution but unimpressed with the height of the monitor. It seems very thin. There are other equal resolution monitors that are fatter for around the same price.

Just saw the new LG OLED 45" curved. Cheaper and would much rather have that for less $.

Was around $1300 twice this year. The reviews were absolutely horrible. Never seen so many complaints about failures from so many people on a single product. Scared me away.

What? There are other 5120 x 1440 monitors with a taller screen? Ok please show me these monitors. Are you referring to 3840 x 1600 monitors?

I would wait for reviews from Rtings or Hardware Unboxed before ordering this imo. Don't trust any sponsored reviews. They usually ignore the big problems.

Samsung monitors like the Neo G9 and the original G9 all have had very common problems that continue to be ignored. Based on early customer reviews on this OLED version, this hasn't changed.

Amazon is a good choice with their returns being so easy if you are unhappy or have major problems. After my past experience ordering from Samsung, I wouldn't risk ordering on their site again.

I'm thinking the same man! Don't forget there is 12% cashback available too. The one thing keeping me from getting the S9 Tab Ultra is the awesome deal I got on the S8 Tab Ultra when I traded in a T ab S7+. I got the Tab S8 Ultra for $361, a free adapter, a free cover, a free screen protector, and free Galaxy Buds2.

Someone on Reddit spoke to a rep and the $200 gift card expires October 31st. The deal I got on the Tab S8 Ultra was in September of 2022. I think I'm going to wait and see if a better deal pops up.
