For $128 you can get out on flat water including paddles and pump. Other items like this are in the $200-300 range making this a good deal. Comparing this to a $2000 whitewater kayak is the peak of SD stupidity.
I hate this style of inflatable kayaks. The inflatable chambers on the sides are too wide and make paddlin' uncomfortable and squash your legs somethin' awful.

I wish more companies would start making the high pressure drop stitched kayaks and canoes. There are only one or two companies making those and the nice ones from brands like Sea Eagle are still around $2k.

Ordered 2 yesterday after coming the conclusion they are very similar.

> Looked like a good deal. Based on some basic research Bestway is a rebranded Tobin Sports that's available at Costco. Same specs as the Tobin Sports Wavebreak kayak that's available at some Costcos for $200.

Also no experience with this model but do have an inflatable hydro force SUP and have been pretty happy with it. Obviously kayak vs sup are different but the sup holds up well and had it inflated for a long weekend and didn't seem to lose any air over that time period

I just ordered one, will test it on the waters this month and let you guys know. I will compare the performance with my excursion pro. If not decent, I will return it.

Was about to order one until I read this. Seems Like I'll be getting an inflatable paddle board instead.

Yeah, I have a single-person one of these and just don't like it at all but I love my inflatable paddle boards. The Body Glove ones sold by Costco are a good deal for beginners and if you can get one with a seat attachment that's perfect for most light duty paddling on a lake.

These are the high-end inflatable kayaks I was talking about:

Great quality but I just can't justify the price right now because I have too many projects around the house that are eating up my "fun money" budget.

What I really want is the Sea Eagle inflatable canoe. Really nice design and gets great reviews in enthusiast publications.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how does this compare to one of those cheap Intex inflatable kayaks?

I would not trust my life with inflatable kayak. I bought one used it once just to test it and then straight to dumpster. I bought the hard plastic kayak from dicks on their year end sale for 150. If transportation is a challenge, get 11ft paddle board.

I have this one and it's a beast: https://hike48.com/products/thaya [hike48.com]

It normally has 3 seats but 2 adults and 2 kids can easily fit. If you are serious about kayaking, I do not recommend anyone go cheap.

I'd hope it's a beast at 15x the price. I have the intex pro 2 seater kayak and I hate it so much. Leaks, impossible to patch adequately. Next time out, is it's last.

Agree inflatable paddle boards are great. Cheap Inflatable kayaks are evil.

No experience with that one either, but I do like the fact that these are coated with nylon. Feels less like a pool floaty when compared to my Lite version. (Disclaimer: I've only seen the Tobin Sports version)

Thanks for the input. I also read reviews saying it takes considerably more effort to make it go from one place to the other. Hopefully this doesn't happen with inflatable paddle boards.
