Make sure you have a good class 3 or better receiver for hanging a dirt bike off the back of your car/truck. No flimsy adaptors or extenders, etc. "Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum to place it" and ... I shall do ugly things to your sub-frame (I assume ppl with ladder frames will have better chances, but nothing is fool-proof)

This looks very similar to the Black Widow brand on Amazon. If it is, they're my favorite out of the 3 brands I've owned over the years including Harbor Freight.

510 lb will be a little low for some sports bikes. You'll need to look at the wet weight of the bike (weight with a full tank of gas). That's often in the specs provided by the manufacturer or by journalists that review bikes.

I asked my hitch installer about using one of these. They said no way in hell for my car's frame. The hitch is fine, but I'm only rated to tow 350lbs tongue weight. With a 350lb bike and the added distance from where tongue weight is measured, it could impact my subaru outback's frame.

That being said...I have a 150lb trials bike that i'm considering using this with...although, I just picked up a trailer

Buy a canyon dancer to go along with this. Doesn't have to be this one.

We drove my wife's VESPA 3 hours with a similar hitch and canyon dancer and would have been puckered the entire way without it.

Ya I don't know much about hitches but I've seen a few of these types of carriers holding just 1 or 2 bicycles and flopping around much more than I'd like. Driving behind someone with a "510lb capacity" motorbike on this thing would make me very anxious.

I use these for 250 lb dirt bikes. Works well IF you strap them down well AND secure the wheels from moving AND use that extra clamp to eliminate bounce/rocking. Rule here - over secure it or your bike will tip and drag. I might be speaking from experience. Frown also I wouldn't even get close to its max weight limit. You're just asking for problems.

Fwiw. If you are serious about a tongue hauler, look at the ultimate MX hauler by mojomotorsports. Yes, it costs more but sooooo convenient, and it doubles as a stand. Even the Chinese knockoffs are built pretty stout.

Park your sportbike parallel w/ the curb. Can you hoik it up onto the sidewalk on your own? No?

Then it weighs more than a dirtbike and will be too heavy for this.
