It's a 75" tv for $500. If you're not a TV enthusiast, it will feel like a great deal and you'll love it. If you're a TV enthusiast and used to $2k+ tv's you'll think it's a pos. I recently purchased a 75" tcl for $450 and couldn't be happier with it, but I've also never spent serious money on a tv before to compare them
We have these TVs (smaller) in our vacation rental cabin. We have 6 tvs there and have had Samsung, LG, Sony and some lesser know brands.
We started replacing them all with these TVs. They work very well. Perform all the functions they are supposed to and have held up very well (better than some name brands). One big benefit is that the remotes are the same so if a remote is loss (happens often), any of the other TV remotes will work. We think these TVs are great
It is only a $40 discount from the regular price. I purchased it three weeks ago. This post reminds me that I need to ask for a price difference.

Good if this is your budget. Edge lit televisions without local dimming zones will always look brighter on border but that's to be expected for a tv at this price range.

Have an older Hisense model from Costco, it included Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos and Roku. Connecting to my Roku enabled sound bar was very simple and the Atomos was detected right away.
Don't care about this not having Roku but I don't think it has Atmos either.

Some may care about that. Also its an IPS panel which means great viewing angles but poor black contrast.

I've seen this 75" model in Costco on a few occasions and it does look pretty darn good to my eyes. Like mentioned it's an IPS panel so it has great viewing angles to boot. Probably a great TV for someone who doesn't need to darkest blacks, etc. Nice as it comes with a (3) year warranty as well.

How does the Allstate TV warranty work at Costco now? It looks like they sell a 5 year warranty so does that only add 2 more years of warranty to this tv as it comes with 3 years for a total of 5 years?

Allstate kicks in when Costco's concierge and manufacturer warranty ends. So, in this case, a total of 6 years

Edit: As the OP mentioned, the most you can have is five years. Regardless of the manufacturer's warranty

Google TV has a lot to be desired on these things. TVs are underpowered to run that OS. I opt to run everything through my FireTV. I don't understand how hard it would be to up the memory on these. Would do wonders for speed.

Ok thanks for the reply. Going out 6 years on the warranty (for cheap) sounds like a great deal to me and piece of mind. I actually have my eye on the 75" U7K which Costco is now selling and that also comes with a 3 year warranty. I'm hoping it dips below 1K later this year.

Also do you happen to know if you have to buy the extended Allstate warranty at the same time you buy the TV? If you do not sure what happens if you were to return the TV for some reason?

I would use an external streamer anyway as they probably do a better job of upscaling than this TV would.

That and you piss off Hisense, boning them out of that sweet post-sale revenue they planned to make off you

From within the warranty literature:
"Plan must be purchased within 90 days of purchasing a TV from Costco."
Also... from the wording within the plan it looks like it's 5 years total of warranty:
"For all TVs, including TVs with a manufacturer's warranty of longer than 2 years, Allstate Protection Plans provide coverage through the end of the 5th year from the date of purchase and run concurrently with the manufacturer's warranty.https://www.costco.com/allstate-3...60874.html

Could anyone please compare this TV to the TCL 4 series 75 inch which is available at the similar price? Thanks in advance.
