if Item are 50/50/50 without the bundle and then
20/30/40 on blundle, when you return whatever item you will get the "bundle refund priced" to avoid "slickers" getting more money.
I did it before and it is like that. I returned motherboard and memory and right now im building one for my newphew and the 12700 k bundle rang up at 350, motherboard 147.97 , CPU 151.93 and memory 38.99.
* Edit: Just reading some online posts and a few people said it varies by store with some stores setting the RAM to $0.01 and splitting the remaining cost between CPU/mobo.

The newest i7 12700k for gaming system will perform superb comparing to i9. In reality, i9 you will only see the different for "coding or editing videos, designers" stuff. (its better CPU but it has his dedicated use... generate more heat, draw more power).
Beside that, if you are looking for a great budget computer 12700k pair with a good graphic card, memory.
If you are not overclocking as i posted in another post.
B series should be fine, z series if you are thinking on overclocking.
DDR4 for B/Z 660 motherboard or DDR5 if B/Z760 motherboard. Price wise, they are similar.
In terms of 12700k should perform great and LESS HEAT than 12900i, if you want to go to the 12900 you may need BETTER Cooling system because it generates more heat and eat more power.

I just build this little monster for my nephew, im about to compare it with my 13700k. Lets see
