Maybe not worth the new thread, but as I and others have been pointing out, the bundle prices online don't always match what the bundles are ringing up for in store. If you're near a micro center, it's worth going in and working with a sales associate to bundle it, it may be cheaper. They'll print out a price sheet when they put in the order, and it'll show the price before you get to the register.

I also pointed out in a different thread but it's worth repeating. When I went in to bundle with the 7950X3D, I didn't reserve it online. The sales associate said the RAM was out of stock and offered to check with his manager about offering a different set in its place. Even if it shows out of stock, they might be willing to work with you to make a sale. It might not be as good, it could potentially be better. They also eventually found the bundled RAM in the back; I think there were a handful of reservations placed that were never picked up, so the website may say out of stock but the store might still have it. You won't know if you don't try, which I highly recommend if you're even on the fence.

These bundles have also changed about once every two months or so between prices and components for the few months. If you aren't sold yet, it could change next month.

Lastly, I was able to get the $25 new customer discount. It required the cashier to individually price and scan items based on the sale price without scanning it as a bundle. UFD Tech on YouTube has a video up sponsored by Micro Center which specifically calls out these bundles and that the discount applies. https://youtu.be/wO4QiOrk81o @3:29. It could be worth referencing if they say it's not meant to work that way. YMMV.

I bought it in store and the cashier rang up each item one by one and the total was $649+. Then the cashier did some keystrokes to make it the $400 bundle. No discounts applied up to that point.

Had to use the new customer $25 off discount and had to get a manager to do it manually. Scanning the coupon was not enough. The manager did it quickly since they were very busy.

$403.99 after $25 coupon OTD. Was in the Tustin, CA location.

Oh that's a great combo. Add a 7900XT for around 700 and a decent monitor for 300 and you've got a stonking setup

Does MicroCenter ever have any combo deals that will ship? Almost everything I've seen is pickup online.
it would sell out within seconds. these deals are foot traffic teasers. I mean come on, amazon's sale price for just the CPU is $400 and youre basically getting a good $150 mobo and $100 worth of ram for FREE

Got one too. Free Starfield to boot.

This is a much better mobo but Intel 12900k, while powerful, runs hot.

This was $450 this past week and now $400, wounder if it will keep dropping in price? The i7 buddle dropped from $350 to $330 also. I am looking for deal with mATX board, with a 1.5 hr drive not sure if I walk in they can give a good buddle price on a bundled with mATX

I just need the CPU. Who wants to buy the mobo and ram for $175 and I cover shipping ?
YMMV Return the unused parts as some stores require all items returned.

How hard is this i9 to cool?

Are there any air coolers that can handle it or do I have to go the liquid cooler aio route?
The ak620 is a solid cooler I have it on this and my am5 7700x with no issues

Curious if anyone using this mobo can give their feedbacks?

Four m.2 , all gen4.
6 SATA connectors
3 system fan connectors
PCI Express 5.0 x16 :1
PCI Express 3.0 x16: 2
LAN Chipset Realtek 2.5GbE LAN

// less audio ports than others
Audio Ports
1 x 3.5 mm Microphone
1 x 3.5 mm Line-In
1 x 3.5 mm Line-Out
Digital Audio
1 x Optical

Legacy Ports 1 x PS/2 (people still use PS/2?)
I use a usb headset and I am sure the industry is adjusting to trends where the old legacy ports are not being used or needed. If your personal needs are met then I see no issue getting this board

Peerless Assassin 120 SE, $33 on amazon. Nothing comes close in price to performance.

14th gen announcement at intel event in September and October release. This will be discontinued soon at microcenter since 12th gen came out in 2021.
