It's always a red flag to me when the blade is listed only as stainless steel. Does anyone have any information on what steel this actually is?

What would this knife be used for that it needs to be anything other than stainless and somewhat sharp? Looks like strictly a self defense blade.

I would assume any knife with a retail list price of $109 would have at least a decent grade of blade steel. When a knife only lists "stainless steel" it usually falls into the category of garbage gas station quality knives.

I'd be happy with any stainless that is sharp enough to puncture/cut I think and would be more concerned with the OTF mechanism, lock of the blade and general sturdiness of it.

Why would it matter what steel it is? You use it once and then you drop it in the river while crossing state lines.

Probably illegal in many many states. This is an OTF where a switchblade opens out the side like a standard folding knife but does it automatically when you push the button. So they are both referred to as automatics but an out the front is not a switchblade.
