Pretty solid deal imo. I bought the HP one from Costco for 1149 with pretty much same spec (except 3060). should have waited Big Grin https://www.costco.com/hp-victus-...77087.html

This is not a good deal at all. The GPU is entry level and is a joke. You can build your own with a top-tier RX 6950 XT at this price point.

4060 8gb? this is pretty bad TBH. there were regular deals for $750 for 3060 12gb... worse cpu and hdd but still, gaming wise, the 3060 12gb will blow this 4060 8gb out of the water.

Agreed. Parts have been more readily available without a huge markup. DIY is a better route

I agree on the value perspective, but the much newer 8gb RTX 4060 beats a 3060 12gb in game benchmarks as far as I can tell.

No. Better pre-builts on sale every day.

Why do the specs say "Motherboard Name PRO B760-VC WIFI" and "WiFi Generation Wi-Fi 5" but then if you go to the MSI webpage to see the specs for that motherboard it says Wi-Fi 6E https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/P...cification

Unfortunately the 4060 is only able to beat it by a small margin when there aren't VRAM constraints. When there are VRAM constraints the 3060 12gb pulls ahead by a small margin. So basically they released an equivalent GPU for the same price that has DLSS 3 + Frame Gen(that no one wants because it creates latency).

Another problem is that the 2tb M.2 SSD they stuck in there is PCIe 3.0 and you really need PCIe 4.0 to take full advantage of Direct Storage going forward. If sold during Covid lockdowns this would sell like hotcakes but right now they are gonna have to lower the price of these a lot to be sellable outside of Walmart/Amazon impulse buys.
