While there have been rumors of a PS5 Slim (or pro or whatever), I highly recommend getting this deal if you've been waiting on one. While we MIGHT see the PS5 for $399.99 on BF, IMHO it will be $449.99 with maybe a free game (or controller) thrown in at best.
DualSense is also on sale for $50 during that time.

Edit: I got it, after 5% Red Card discount
The rumored cost will be $399 and it will be a digital console with a detachable disc drive that will be sold seperatley if you want the option of using discs. Not confirmed in any way, but that is the main rumor.
Also not on topic of the slim but figured I'll add here that rumors for PS5 Pro are for a release next year.
I'm not surprised at all to see this Target deal. I've been seeing some deals at Costco a lot lately on bundles. Some real good deals. Sony is clearly trying to liquidate stock in anticipation of these new SKU's.

My guess would be no (staying at 1tb) in order to keep the cost down. I think Sony really wants to hit that $399 price point with one SKU (which will reduce manufacturing costs), with the option of an expandable disc drive as a seperate accessory. If that is in fact Sony's intentions, then there is no way they double the storage to 2tb.
By doing this they would undercut the XBSX by $100 going into the 2nd half of the generation while already holding an almost 2:1 lead in console hardware sales over Xbox.
I mean this is what I would do as a business strategy and I'm just an idiot on SD's.
