While there have been rumors of a PS5 Slim (or pro or whatever), I highly recommend getting this deal if you've been waiting on one. While we MIGHT see the PS5 for $399.99 on BF, IMHO it will be $449.99 with maybe a free game (or controller) thrown in at best.

DualSense is also on sale for $50 during that time.

The rumor mill indicates the new variant would be $400 for a digital-only version, with the option to add a disc drive for an additional $50. If that turns out to be correct, this is essentially an equivalent deal.

When I got the PS5 on day 1, never did I expect that it would take nearly 3 years for a price drop lol. Just shows how crazy the demand has been and how the pandemic has affected availability.

I was planning to buy a ps5 just for the 4k bluray player ever since my xbox died, finally fixed the hard drive of the xbox last week after 3 years, now this comes down in price, now no reason to buy it now since I only needed a 4k player and dont really play too much games in console, until the next tekken comes out hopefully next year,

This reply is probably too late to help anyone, but I bought a PS5 and extra controller at Target at the end of July for full price, and just price matched over the phone today. Took like 5 minutes and I already received the confirmation emails.

I've got a feeling we're gonna get an announcement from Rockstar either about GTA 6 or maybe red dead remake and they'll try to move more consoles with the price drop and timed exclusivity from the PC release. I hope they release the PC version at the same time but given R*'s track record I doubt it
