1 month is sufficient.
Bought mine over a month ago from Walmart for same price so this isn't a new deal.
Not true about not shipping to tax free states - mine was shipped to Oregon which is a sales tax free state.
I believe any/all of them. All three carriers are owned by Verizon and follow their unlocking policy.

No, since ST/SM are all TF-branded, when you follow the easy guide to activate the SE (with the SIM that came with it), by keeping your A03 number (with TF service), the service and number will transfer, and your SE is activated on TF (automatically unlocked after 60 days).
Thanks for the backup 😃

Sorry for the late question. But has anyone bought the simple mobile plan and managed to unlock it after the 60 days. Still thinking on buying it from Walmart since the cheapest plan is 25 vs 35 on total wireless

Really don't know but the TracFone plans are less expensive.

Lol this is a great deal as is.

Remember when iPhones were $200 with a 2 year contract? This is a little less than that for 60 days and it's unlocked.

A few years ago iPhones were still $600 outright. MSRP on the 15 is what, $820?

Even full MSRP of $430 for this SE wasn't bad.

Doubt there's any more of a cut than this. Maybe in about a year there's refurbs of these for a little less, but that's a huge maybe.
Riddle me this... do you think this deal will disappear before the new year, or do you think I am safe waiting? I don't really need this right now, but am wondering if I should buy and store just in case.

Been this price since late June (when I got mine).
There's no way to predict when/if price will change. Buy now & start the unlock clock so it's ready when you need it.

Thanks for the tip. Have you gotten one with tracfone and got it unlocked after the 60 days?

Nobody knows. Feel like I was late to this deal but got one to unlock.

Should be supported for probably longer than my current Android device.

Either way it's a good small phone at a pretty good price. If I don't end up using it someone else will, and that will have been worth it to gift to someone.

No, that's just one of the issues that people have run across in activating some of these. There seems to be issues with some kind of incompatibility with some of them or some phones / SIM cards that weren't scanned in the system properly when they were set up. You'll have to call in to get it going. If you call, I definitely wouldn't mention any issues with scanning that have been mentioned here. Lazy reps may pass the problem back to you and say you need to return it. Just tell them you need help activating it and let them work the problem. Most people who posted that problem seem to have gotten past it with a call to them. Personally, I'd call rather than try the chat reps, as I get the impression they may be slightly better (although still not great). Also, make sure you mention that it's a _new_ phone so that they hopefully won't set it up as a BYOD phone as some have run into.

By the way … I assume you entered the IMEI and not the SIM card number of the phone, right? You shouldn't need to enter the SIM card number with the online activation.

Wow. So, alright... I used chat. The dude seemed to do things all out of sorts. I was convinced he didn't know what he was doing. He asked me all the sign up questions as if he was just on the site entering it in. He asked if it was regarding the number i provided, but i had given him the imei on the inital form, so i just repeated that back and that I was having the error with the website and the imei, which he never really acknowledged. Then he asked me to provide my cc over the chat, which I was like, first, cc for what? like what plan are you billing me for? And he was like, whatever you like. So at this point I'm thinking this is sketchy, but... i've got a prepaid gift card handy and I'm going to see where this goes. So i ask him about the $15 plan but with $10 autopay. And he's like, alright. So long story short, he bills me 10.79 and tells me to restart the phone. It works. Text 611611 Unlock and get unlock message for 12/4. Then I ask him how to log in my TF account because I never got any email or receipt or anything. He said he couldn't help me with that and they'd have customer service call me back. lol

Well, at least it sounds like he got you going pretty smoothly, so that's cool. I think you should be able to add the phone to your account without their help if I remember correctly. It's probably just not currently associated with one. If you haven't set up an account yet, just do that and then add your number to it. (Basically, you just have to associate the number with your account and it will probably send you a security code to make sure it's actually your number.)

Just to confirm, the iPhone SE sold by Total by Verizon could be used with Tracfone's $15 plan? Thanks!
