If you have to have a prebuilt, I think this is better priced than the R16 for $1,600. And you need to jump through hoops with cashbacks and coupon codes to even get that price. I don't think the 13700 is worth it over the 13400 paired with a 4070. You can also DIY if you're on this site hunting for deals. The AM5 BestBuy were such a steal or if you missed that then the 7600X was $200, 7700 $259, 7900 $289. Blue team if that's your thing, 12600k $180, 12700kf $220
The problem with a lot of prebuilts is that you get proprietary motherboard/bios and other unbranded parts. This prebuilt has an MSI motherboard. MSI brand GPU. Basically, everything is name-brand parts instead of unknown. A lot of these prebuilts they just send you whatever is cheapest or their proprietary crap. That being said this seems like a dream to me.
I pulled the trigger on this product. I am shocked that it has not gotten any thumbs up on slickdeals, and it only leads me to wonder if people aren't familiar with the Prebuilt PC market.
This prebuilt does not come with proprietary parts! No proprietary motherboard/BIOS! No modded/flashed GPU!
No unknown brand components! All the parts are NAME-BRAND! All the parts are newer parts! The processor just came out this year. The motherboard just came out this year. All MSI B760 motherboards have modern capabilities including support for WiFi 6E. Everything is labeled name-brand parts; this is not the norm for the prebuilt market! MSI 4070 GPU! Corsair power supply!
The case is name brand Thermaltake with good airflow!
Dollar for dollar can you find a better deal? At a later point you can easily upgrade the cooler, PSU, SSD, or ram if that's your desire. But, you wouldn't save any money buying a prebuilt now with those upgrades already included!
Opinion: This rig is also attractive with RGB but not overdoing it with too much flashyness.
What gives, Slickdeals community? Why would other postings like the Alienware R16 (which has a propriterary motherboard and higher price) get more thumbs up than this?
Thanks OP!
