I picked up one today. As far as I could tell it was brand new even tho the plastic wrap said refurb on it. 1 battery cycle. 1 full year of apple care and eligible for apple care +

Probably also because it's MicroCenter and they don't ship... if not near one, it's unobtainable.

Yes that is def possible. I also do not have a MC nearby. I'm not sure if I'm FOMOing or if this is such a good deal that I should ask one of my friends who have a MC near their place to pick one up for me

Thank you. I jumped on this and will give it a shot. I think this is an excellent M1 Max price point. Upgrading from a 2020 M1 Air 8GB + 256GB. I'm doing more video editing and hoping my real time preview scrubbing will improve significantly. The M1 has been amazing, but I hit RAM limits and the screen real estate is also too small running on the go.

My plan is to suck it up on airplanes and try figuring out a way to screen share the Macbook to an iPad or do other tasks. I've got all footage on external drives so not worried too much about the SSD.

Seems Like one of the best prices for the base model of 16 inch M1 Max Macbook Pro.

Microcenter, so in-store only. Mine also has a similar M1 Pro for 50 dollars more.

I wish there were more storage, but decent deal overall.

I was surprised it's actually cheaper than same configuration of m1 pro at the same microcenter. Really tempted to buy it even though I'd probably benefit from a bigger hard drive.

But 1850 for m1 max with 16 inch screen and 32 gb sounds very good, especially if you're on a tight budget but need a powerful machine.

All recent deals are in 2500 range for same professor but 2 tb
