How bad are these 45% ntsc panels? My laptop is a 2015 HP Star Wars edition. I have no idea how many nits the screen is or if it's 45 or 72% ntsc. I've tried looking it up..but can't find it anywhere. My screen isn't the brightest, but it's okay for me. Need a new laptop for gaming...without spending $1200+.

Other than the screen, are these as good as the Legions (cooling)?

I would spend $100 more and get the Legion Slim. Build quality is worth ~$100 extra and I believe it comes with a better display as well.

No, LOQ is their budget gaming line. Get the regular Legion if you want maximum performance. Get the Legion Slim if you are gonna take it to classes and show off to your peasant friends.
