For interested parties, you could just buy this one and hold on to it for now / until the 15 announcement happens b/c Costco returns are 90 days for electronics. Costco has run this promo a couple of times over the last couple of months so I'm assuming they're just offloading some of the inventory they're sitting on before next gen comes out.
Not a bad price considering the upgrades each year are not as significant as they were a decade ago when everyone was trying to upgrade every single year to the latest and greatest
But that's why this 14 pro with Applecare+ is a good deal - because you're basically saving $170 on Applecare when you buy it together. The suggestion to wait for the 15 isn't apples to apples with this deal.
