Are you sure you put it in correctly and the grooves lined up? I had the same problem at first but it was because I put it in incorrectly

Like another poster I suspect you just didn't line up the grooves correctly. There are four of them (all at a 90 degree angle to each other), but one is larger than the other, so the filter only fits one way.

I'd bet just about any amount of money that Brita doesn't make a "defective batch," at least as far as the fit is concerned. These filters all fit the same.

Dont mind everyone not listening to you. My friend and I got the same on a year ago. Both of ours wouldn't fit the filter. I sold mine and got a pitcher.
Thanks. Just shared my experience.

I haven't used it but I'm seeing multiple reviews on Amazon mentioning similar leaking. About 1/20 reviews are 1 star which is worth taking note.
As we know only smart people post Amazon reviews.

The two people who downvoted you are probably the 2 people in this thread who couldn't get it to work properly. 😂

I've had both this and the pitcher. Water comes out of the dispenser into the bottle much slower than I would have expected. It takes about 20 seconds to fill up a 24 ounce water bottle when the dispenser is full, longer when close to empty. I can do this with the pitcher in about 2 seconds.

It is nice to be able to dispense water while still filtering, which the pitcher can't really do. But the slow dispense speed is pretty annoying.

Just Bought a used one for $21. Last time I got a 5-cup with the same filter: basically a brand new one

"I haven't personally used it, but I did personally read that someone else might have used it, and they said it wasn't good"

That's what you just said right now. smh....

To be fair, the first time I got a Brita pitcher I also couldn't get it fit properly. But I figured it out within, what, 5 seconds, and I think 99% of people would, too, assuming they have an IQ in double-digit territory.

So what you're saying is. You KNEW it was broken. You COULD have returned it. Instead you sold it to some unsuspecting schmuck.

Yeah, I don't know what's worse: If this is believable? or are you a dick?

Did you know they made a movie [imdb.com] about the two of you?

I bought this and made the mistake of misaligning. Then I corrected and it works great!

Would this fit in a fridgidaire 7.5 cu ft mini fridge or it's length, width would be an issue? I'm assuming it would take up most of a shelf. Currently using 10 cup pitcher.

The product dimensions are clearly stated in the Amazon listing.
