This is a general admission ticket to the US Grand Prix in Austin TX. Dates are October 20-22. General admission means NO seating. You can roam around the track and watch from the grassy/dirt areas. You do not get access to the garages or pit areas. It's as bare bones as you can get for access.

Can't say I'd go to another F1 race. Unless you find a spot in the shade with a giant tv screen in front of you, you really miss a LOT of the action. My plan was to listen to the Sky Sports commentators over my headphones to "audibly" follow the action, but it was like 15-20 seconds behind what was actually going on live. Might go to qualifying only next year if I find a really cheap ticket. Race day was SLAMMED in Miami. Practice and qualifying days were much easier to get around and see everything.

There were plenty of places to see a couple turns at Miami, but unless you were in front of giant tv, you were missing all the rest of the action. We wound up standing against the fence with tons of other people to watch turn 2, where I was expecting some first lap drama, but everyone made it though smoothly. We walked over to the free Red Bull pavilion/tent where they had a couple giant TV's and food/drinks, and finished watching the race there. As soon as the top 3 crossed the finish line, we started briskly walking to the exit and wound up following a crowd onto the track and got stuck in a group of what felt like 1000 ppl in front of the podium celebration. Lol. Sadly, due to the angle, a couple tall bushes blocked our view. It was so packed, moving wasn't an option. Lol.

Miami GA 3 day ticket was $600. Just checked by bank account to verify At least that's what I paid on the official race website the day they went on sale.
Maybe not a big deal if you live there and are familiar with buying genuine tickets without getting scammed, but some people are more comfortable buying tickets ahead of booking flights and hotels, and from a source they know is 100% legit.
How was GA? Without hills or banks I don't see how GA would have good viewing areas but maybe I'm wrong? The $800 was for the cheapest grandstand.
We're talking about Miami, right? It's flat. Lol. No hills. There were a few platforms you could stand on to get a little height if you only had a GA ticket, but they were out in the sun. Hot hot hot! There were quite a few fence sections where you could get close to the cars. We stood along the fence when they did the driver parade, but for whatever reason, as they passed us, they kept looking and waving to the folks on the fence on the opposite side of the track. Lol. Much easier on practice and qualifying days. Race day was slammed. We met a bunch of really nice folks over the 3 days, but actually got into a very small "issue" with a lady that tried to tell us she was "saving" a small gap we found to stand against a fence at turn 2 about 15 min before the race started. Lol. I was like, lady...I don't think saving empty spots along the fence comes with a general admission ticket 🤣
We actually snuck into a couple grandstands a few times between sessions. We watched the cars do their practice starts at the start/finish area at the end of the practice sessions. We could also see the people doing the "pit walk", which looked like a joke if that's what it was because they're were so many folks crammed in there, I don't see how they could see anything the way they were being moved through like cattle. I don't think I'd like to sit at any race and only see one or two turns without a nice big tv screen in front of me.
