I bought it when it was last on sale at this price. So far I like it, still have a few weeks to decide if I want to keep it.

It's a really fast computer for the price, getting ~13,400 multi/1650 single in Cinebench r23 and 6,000 in Time Spy after a mild VRAM overclock. The 3050 6GB is good enough to play Horizon Zero Dawn around 50fps maxed out at native res, easy 60 with DLSS quality. Also gets around 65 fps in Forza Horizon 5 high preset native res (no DLSS). Great for a secondary gaming machine. No throttling (99% score in 3DMark stress test) confirmed even after a few hours of gaming. Fans have a low pitch but they get a bit loud during gaming. They're off or barely audible otherwise.

Battery life isn't great using the Lenovo battery profile but enabling Windows battery saver allows ~10h of work (Office apps, browsing, Teams, etc.) at a tolerable performance cost. Also gets ~9h of YT 1080p video at middle brightness level.

It feels well-built and isn't too heavy for its size. No USB-C charging/power with chargers below 90W though (100W is probably what to shoot for). Also, the keyboard is fine but a step back after using a Thinkpad. The matte screen is really nice to look at.

If you have a Lenovo affiliate program account (like an employee discount), you can get it lower, my work account has it for $798.99 directly from lenovo, plus a $23 reward that can be used to buy accessories after purchase.

Link to the product on lenovo.com (you need to sign into your affiliate account to see the lower price):

Only if this had a touchscreen and the RAM wasn't capped at 16GB...

Yeah, being able to add some RAM would have been nice. But honestly, my experience so far is that all parts are quite well-matched with each other in the context of gaming. The CPU/GPU/RAM specs allow for gaming fairly comfortably in modern games (but not badly optimized AAA games like The Last of Us, which even my desktop RTX 3070 dislikes). My guess is that games that will really benefit from 32GB of RAM will hit some performance limits at the CPU/GPU level first (esp. the 6GB of VRAM). Now if you're hoping to run a bunch of VMs or other heavy RAM use scenarios, then yes, more RAM is going to be important and the specs matching is not that relevant.

The other issue with adding more RAM is that most laptops that allow it these days have 1 soldered stick, and when changing the non-soldered stick, you often lose performance in terms of timings and possibly also dual/quad channel arrangements (DDR5 is strange and still new to me -- 2 sticks run in quad-channel in my machine according to CPU-Z).

I personally do not like touchscreens on a laptop. It gets the screen dirty real quick and I find that it does not really add anything to a laptop. But to each his own of course.
