The wife confirms you are correct.. she works as an x-ray/CT/MRI technician, and many are getting to the point that they simply can not scan due to weight limits of tables or the fact they won't fit through the machines. ... however, she works in Denver, which used to be a very fit population (due to all the outdoor activities) , not so much now as it once was.

This will be a flimsy chair. All the manufacturers really overstate the max weight and this is as low of a rating as you'll find.

I weigh 135 and this chair sinks into the sand and you are sitting in the sand. Pretty useless for beach.
