Btw. I see a lot of new shill accounts here on SD posting lame questions and upvoting each comment.

Avoid Eufy brand. Google their brand and copy/storing your videos on overseas (China) servers.

I have this camera and my only complaint is the wifi connectivity. It's directly outside of the room with the router and it still is difficult to connect to the live view from the app. Can't get a signal most of the time

All the 2k resolution claims are not true 2k. 480p at best when zoomed in.

My works as expected. No WIFI dropouts (app shows "Great" signal strength), solar charging always > 95% (although I've only had during summer months). I have mine set to 2K HD recording, all motion, and optimal surveillance. I have so many events that some days I lose events (I think there is a max?).

100% agree. Almost all the popular "Wifi" security cameras for home use that are 1080p/2k/4k are extremely low quality, heavily compressed, artifact ridden images.

Here's a youtube video of the S220 in the deal.

That being said; Eufy tends to be the best-in-class image quality in its price point and product category (Wifi camera). Just temper your expectations by looking at reviews and understanding what a normal "1080p" or "2K" wifi camera is. Its no where near the quality of your 6-year-old flagship android phone recording at 2K 30. Its more like your PC webcam or laptop webcam.

And eufy has the best webcam. Best of the poor image quality cameras.

Its just tough to recommend them given their recent security (read: poor design) issues. So if you care about the security of your footage (or specifically, thumbnail previews of notifications) - look deeper into this issue before buying.

I get security is an issue, but all my cameras are pointed outside. For most people, who cares if someone can hack your system and take your videos. I'd be more worried about someone stealing my personal information.

Eufy cameras have one of best picture quality but cost way more than other cams. Also google their security issue. They got caught sending customer information back to china(LTT covered it and dropped sponsorship with Anker). They said they fixed but who knows.

Careful with all the fake posts here on slickseals and Amazon reviews. This camera brand is junk. I've had it for 3 months now and past the return policy. Don't believe the reviews.

1. If you set the camera to maximum record of 120 seconds, the solar will not provide enough juice to last a month. You'll need to manually charge.

2. Notifications are a joke. Either disable all or receive all sound alerts. No way to disable just sound and get notifications alerts. There's no way to override using android options.

3. Login is slow and often disconnects during live viewing. After a few seconds of live view, you will always get a warning notification popup, no way to disable.

4. Downloading clips are very slow and you can't let it run in the background when downloading. It must be active app and you'll find yourself waiting for the clip to download.

5. Maximum of 4 shared users account.

I have a lot of experience using these security devices and will say I have a better experience using Wyze cameras.

I highly do not recommend Eufy cameras.

I have eufy cameras at over a dozen rentals plus my home. I don't get all the hate, they all work great for me and scare away thieves all the time trying to jack my materials

I'd jump on this if it had HomeKit or Matter support. It would be nice not to get up on ladders a few times a year to recharge batteries.

I just slam dunked eufy in the trash for a wired system. Always misses events and one camera just randomly died a month out of warranty.

Not to mention the absurd privacy issues.

I'm about to return a new anker hub too. Cause transfer speeds are atrocious.

Seems Anker as a whole is just shitting the bed for qc
