A good IPS panel is a 7/10 for graphics and contrast but a 10/10 for clarity.
A WOLED (WRGB OLED) is a 11/10 for graphics but a 5/10 for text clarity.
Text fringing is definitely a problem because the LG OLEDs do not have standard RGB subpixels.
A traditional monitor uses Red, Green & Blue subpixels (RGB) to make a nice square, millions of those squares make the image you see.
WOLED uses White, Red, Green & Blue subpixels (WRGB). This means borders sometimes have color fringing and makes fine items like text difficult to read because the letters have red/green edges and so it looks kind of fuzzy and is hard to read.
I'm debating keeping the 42 C2 or going back to my 27" 4Ks. The extra pixel density of the 27" does make it look a lot clearer too.
The 120Hz, Gsync and gorgeous colors make the OLED look amazing…it's just the text...
The Dell G3223 is really great too but it's not really $600 better than my 27"…

For reference, my eyes are 28" from the screen while typing this, about 36" while leaning back, and about 7' when watching from the couch.
