I have a similar Sony headset with a
coiled cord like this one (MDR - V6). The cord is heavy and will annoy you, but the full-spectrum sound is great.

most overrated headphones in the industry. sound bland and no oomph. don't waste your money on this
That's the point, they're reference headphones that are supposed to sound neutral.

similar to what Cabbage said, they are used for recording studios and are supposed to have flatt(er) response so you can hear more with less embellishment. Also for Audiofiles who strive to get most accurate reproduction as opposed to bass boosted (for ex) audio. So complaining about not having oomph is sort of meaningless and misses the point. They just aren't for you. Maybe Beats is more your thing.
Though I'm not a headphone person much I have a pair of these and it pleasantly surprises me everytime I have to use headphones. Audio is clean and clear and I can listen for long periods with no issue. I feel like I hear details in songs I didn't hear before everytime I use them.
Even if not my style per se, nothing wrong if you want "oomph". Can EQ for that if you know what you're doing.
IMO the cable is a bit unwieldy but good quality. The headphones are bit clanky but fold up well. I don't know how low the price goes on this but this is one of the few things I would consider very worth it for this price

Did you check camelcam...? CCC shows that while the lowest price was 74.99 in May and July, most of the time it's more like $99. Keepa says the 90 day avg is 90.33.

This was frontpage on Slickdeals at this price in December last year. Given inflation, it's amazing they're still going at this price.
