For those not familiar with the P line, the models with an s at the end use the same chassis as the non-s T series. So the P14s = T14; AFAIK the only difference is driver certification in the "workstation" P series.

ID.me gets an additional discount for many (looks like 10% for students/teachers, not sure about others), and 15% (up to $100 credit) Amex offer on many Amex business cards. Lenovo allows split payment, useful if you have two cards with that offer. Good deal for a high-spec Zen 4-based laptop.

Typo in the specs, it's DDR5 not DDR4

Correct, LPDDR5X to be exact - meaning only soldered RAM, no SODIMM slot. Gen 1/2 of the T14 and P14s AMD had a SODIMM slot, but starting with Gen 3 the Ryzen version only has soldered RAM. Some - but not all - configurations of the Intel Gen 3/4 still have a SODIMM slot.

It's probably not going to get any better than this in the next 6 months for the P14s or T14s Gen 4 right?

Did you leave code wsdeals instead of changing to WSDEAL13?

Thanks OP. Combined with the EDU discount, it came down to $1037.1 + tax.

This is a good deal, but the t series is cheaper if you don't need graphics.

Looking at reviews, battery life looks pretty bad. Less than 3 hours when doing basic things. Anyone have a different experience?

T14s has bigger battery and nicer body materials. T14 as dual heatpipes with better thermals/performance plus ethernet port. The keyboard is much easier to replace on the T14 if you ever have to after warranty. It's up to personal preference.

T14/P14s gen 4 doesn't have any professional reviews that I know of yet. Source?

Only if you want to save 1/4 pound. Now that the p14s and, I assume the T14, has usb4, there should be little difference in which you choose. I believe they all share the same internals.
