Yes definitely will see an improvement at any resolution, however, it could make more sense to sell your motherboard ram and cpu and switch to am5 if you have the extra 100~ and time

It's a huge upgrade. With this video game i played which was very cpu intensive, i went from lows of 70s to lows of 140, usually stays at a locked 162 most of the time. Upgraded from a 2700x to 5800x3d. I use a 1080ti

However, you should consider whether it would make more sense to keep your powder dry and go for a full platform upgrade instead of upgrading from two generations ago to one generation ago
