This with i7 12650h or the Lenovo thinkcentre *Edite* Ideacentre* mini with the 13th Gen 13500H for 493, add 32gb Ram for 50 bucks for a 543 total, or just over 500 for the 16gb version. I know it's max 80 dollars net difference but the 13th Gen i5 seems on par and Lenovo warranty seems like it may be worth the difference (especially with the dirt cheap extensions they offer).

This is the link for the cheapest version. There is a 16gb version, and an i7 that's been a little cheaper a month or so ago. I'm conflicted as we're seeing laptops on sale with these specs so getting a built in screen and battery backup is a bonus in my eyes....but only if ram is upgradeable in the laptop. So I'm kicking the idea around....

Can this do ps3 emulation without skipping frames???
A new Zen 4 one like the mini um790 or Beelink gtr7 pro would be able to do it or you can buy a 13th gen Intel or Ryzen zen 3 with a thunderbolt port and you can add an external GPU. Personally for emulation you may be better off rolling your own rig or catch one of the NUC that they are clearing out.
This is a new build -- better specs for $420. Just came out. 32 gig/1TB and Windoze. The only diff this is ddr4 but for this type of build you are not going to notice. I have the NAB6 (same proc) this thing is a beast. I sold my mac mini pro m2 and kept the extra $700.
Crap Intel graphics. As a min, should be 32g of ram since it is shared by integrated graphics.
This machine not for gaming, however the Xe EU in there is quite capable for media encoding/decoding. It is as fast as the mac mini m2 pro I just sold for vastly less $$$> The new Zen4 procs do hardware AV1 encoding (this is only HW dec) -- so I am eyeing that to start ripping my media and encoding for streaming. I also put in a link for a 32 gig version for less $$$ if you are interested.
As a note Apple is MIA on AV1 onboard hardware codecs. It baffles me.
I've seen these mini PCs and was wondering if this might work well hard-lined to a Quest 2. I'm not very computer savvy, but if it's all the computer handles, should it be able to? If not this one, would the ones built for gaming handle it well? Games like Alyx, Synth Riders, etc. Tired of trying to use Wifi from across the house, even with my mesh system. It's just too choppy with Airlink.

I'm looking for something powerful enough to run BlueIris/CodeProject or Frigate for AI object detection. Would this work or would folks recommend something else?
