I disagree. Although you need more resources if you would like to be fluent, DuoLingo is a great start to see if you'll actually enjoy learning a language.

Latency will be dependent on where you'll be using it. However, and if my experience with Verizon tells me anything, it will probably be near unusable garbage. I still have it, and it is always terrible, but I use it as a $25 backup for my T-Mobile home internet 5g.

I used it a few years ago when they ran an insane promo for $1 for the whole year. I really really enjoyed it. I got a ton out of it- Nancy Cartwright (voice on the Simpsons), Jodie Foster on directing, Judd Apatow on producing, David Sedaris on writing, Issa Rae on creating, and others.
All were super slickly produced, had quality content, and were engaging and helpful.

Youtube gains 30,000 hours of new content EVERY HOUR. If you have time to sift through literally millions of hours of content to find the actual good stuff, maybe its not worth it. For most of us, a service that cuts out the 99.9999% of crap and leaves the .0001% of good content is well worth the money.

Does anyone know if you get a prorated refund if you switch over to this free year of Netflix? My billing cycle just renewed as of 5 days ago, and feel like it's a waste if I activate the free year after just paying for another month.

Chatted up Netflix support, and they refunded me after I linked my account to Verizon.

I signed up for one year Netflix through verizon in December. Can this subscription be an add-on to the one expiring in December 2023? If I sign- up for this promo then I'll loose 4 months from previous promo

Not $83 month. if you already have their internet ($40-50/mo depending on the state and when you signed up) you can pay $83 once for a year of premium Netflix and Duolingo or premium Netflix and Masterclass. about 50% of netflix price for what your gettting or 10-25% of the total regular price of Netflix and the other service you choose

I have the Ultra $35 version of Verizon's 5G Home Internet and get better performance than the hard wired CenturyLink fiber in my building.
