That sounds like a great deal! I have a brushless Ryobi 40v, it was $200 on sale. This thing got twice the juice but I bet an 80v battery makes it tiring to carry for a long time.
The newer I have; I know has a throttle switch that can set the blower to blow at the speed you're currently blowing at. That helps eliminate 65% of the strain of using the blower. Once I started using that switch I didn't have to switch hands that much due to pulling the trigger and lifting the nose up and around to direct the flow and speed as much.
Same here. I've been watching for months. Best I've seen is 160. For this price I'm jumping, even if I do have 3 batteries now.
3 batteries I think is the sweet spot. I think mine are all 2.5. I use them mowing, cutting trees down and blowing grass of the sidewalk. I find the capacity to be right for me. Both in weight and duration. I find they deplete around the time I should be taking a break to get a drink. If they lasted longer I would just be working harder. 3 batteries works to complete all the trim work around bushes and trees for me. Usually only need 2, but on slow days or thick days I need the third. They recharge in time to be used again if I only had 2, but 3 allows them to cool before recharging them.
This is the older style greenworks blower with less CFM and Airspeed than the newer modes. Also it appears that you've mistakingly listed this as coming with the 2.5AH battery, however the Amazon listing describes the kit as coming with the older 2.0AH battery.
I have one of these older style 125mph 500cfm blowers, and two of the newer 170 MPH 730 CFM Blowers and much like the specs state, the newer blowers are much more powerful and I don't even use the older one anymore.
For $20 more I highly recommend getting the newer, more powerful blower kit with larger capacity battery at Best Buy.
Totally with you on this, except for the updates. I just jumped on board the Ego brand, and I absolutely love it so far. I actually enjoyed cutting the grass and weed whacking for a couple hours today. I don't think I've ever enjoyed it, even when I was getting paid to do it! 😂
I was about to buy this blower when a friend recommended this Ego combo to me
Really impressed with both items so far, if anyone else needs a trimmer and a blower
The Costco deal doesnt come uo at $199.99 for me. Is that in warehouse?
Is Ego better than Greenworks? I don't need a trimmer and this blower isn't as strong as the Best Buy deal, but it looks like a good combo if Ego makes much better tools. I know their battery can be shared across thenlin, unlike GreenWorks (so if I needed a small push mower, I'd also have to buy an 80V mower)

I can't speak for the comparative quality, this my first set of battery equipment but the ego blower and trimmer are wildly impressive on first use.
I was using a very basic plug in blower with no speed control, it was unwieldy and annoying to work around the cord.
Ego blower at the lowest speed was sufficient enough to clear patios, pavers, sidewalks and our driveway from leaves and grass clippings. On the highest speed it was pulling the thatch build up off my grass, it has some serious output.
The trimmer works great too, it folds up which is a nice perk since I don't have a lot of utility space to store equipment. I think give them a shot at least, Lowes has a pretty generous return policy and people rave about the ego platform it seems

Being HD the price may be subject to location, for me its $75 and then I get 10% off for Military ontop of that.
