That sounds like a great deal! I have a brushless Ryobi 40v, it was $200 on sale. This thing got twice the juice but I bet an 80v battery makes it tiring to carry for a long time.

This is the older style greenworks blower with less CFM and Airspeed than the newer modes. Also it appears that you've mistakingly listed this as coming with the 2.5AH battery, however the Amazon listing describes the kit as coming with the older 2.0AH battery.

I have one of these older style 125mph 500cfm blowers, and two of the newer 170 MPH 730 CFM Blowers and much like the specs state, the newer blowers are much more powerful and I don't even use the older one anymore.

For $20 more I highly recommend getting the newer, more powerful blower kit with larger capacity battery at Best Buy.

I have the newer one and it's the greatest batter blower ever. On turbo high I can blow fruit down the street

Your Best Buy Deal is great! Greenworks currently has their 80V 2.5Ah battery "on sale" for $180 and the 730CFM Blower is on sale for $180 on their website without an 80V charger. So the Best Buy Deal is like BOGO Free + a charger. I added it to my cart and they offered me an 80V 4.0Ah battery for another $174.99.

I do need another battery to go with my new mower and 5Ah battery...but I think this 2.5Ah battery will be all I need. I can start mowing with the 2.5 and when it runs out, switch it with the 5. After letting the 2.5 cool off in front of a fan, I'll charge it just in case I need a few more minutes after the 5 is depleted.

Thanks for posting the Best Buy deal...I got one!

To anyone questioning this.. it's VERY powerful, and it does a hell of a job. I own one, and I couldn't be happier with it. I use it on both my yards, driveway, patios, and in my garage to blow dust out. So yeah, get it!

Now, if only the 80v mower and/or trimmer go on sale, I'd be set.

Agree, the Best Buy is a better unit with a better battery. Also, Costco runs the newest model on sale now & then with the 2.5Ah battery for $199. They extend the OE warranty of 4 years to 8 years on the battery. I've had GW 80V tools for about 6 years now, and the batteries typically last about 2 or 3 years, depending on how they are used, stored, and charged. The 8 year warranty is worth the extra $$ when you catch it on sale.

As an avid user of 80V Greenworks equipment, I can say this blower sucks, and not in a good way. Their newer turbo blowers are much more powerful, less noisy and weigh the same with much better weight distribution. I ordered it a few years ago as part of multi-tool deal (it came with bushwhacker) and immediately sold it on Craigslist as it was so bad.

And, in spririt of offering a better product, here are 2 blowers I use. Both blow this one out of the water.

For some reason, the GW backpack blowers (there seem to be several models) have lower specs than the latest handheld model. I suppose if you are a landscaper, using it all day it would be more comfortable than the handheld. In the gas powered ecosystem, the backpacks are usually much more powerful.

Just curious, how are you storing your batteries?

I have been using the greenworks 80v line (1st gen mower, trimmer, blower, hedge trimmer, and cultivator) since 2018 and have two 2ah and one 4ah batteries. They all still work strong although maybe just slightly less runtime on the oldest 2ah battery. The batteries are stored in the house during the winter with about 2 out of 3 bars full.

In my experience with different brand batteries, I've killed a few batteries by leaving them in a cold garage through the winter. It seems the voltage drops below some threshold and the charger no longer detects and/or is unable to charge the batteries. I have recovered a couple batteries by jumping them from another known good batteries until the voltage is high enough for the charger to recognize and fully charge the battery up. Lots of info on you tube. Anyway, I keep all of my batteries for all different brands tools inside my home office during the winter and have had no issues since.

Nice deal for a cheapie and that Best Buy / Costco deal seems nice for the higher end one. Man I wish ego would go on sale as I'm already in that system and need some updates.

Totally with you on this, except for the updates. I just jumped on board the Ego brand, and I absolutely love it so far. I actually enjoyed cutting the grass and weed whacking for a couple hours today. I don't think I've ever enjoyed it, even when I was getting paid to do it! 😂
