Why are you comparing a $3200 battery setup to a $200 generator and $5 of gas?

IF it is built the same as this one, just be sure not to put it on bare dirt or sand and know it can destroy itself by sucking up dirt and sand because of bad design.

Oh wow. The problem with buying something like this as a refurb means the previous owner might have been using it on dirt and already done engine damage..

It says it runs 25% for 9 hours in full tank which is 1 gallon (rounded for simplification)

25% of 1600w is 400w.

So, in 9 hours continuous run at 400w, you extracted. 3600wh of energy

So, 1 gallon ($5 per gallon) can give you 3600wh.

Now compare this to Ecoflow Delta Pro. If it's fully charged, it has 3600wh stored energy. How much does it cost to fully charge it?

Say 25 cents per kwh.. so you will only spend less than a dollar to fully charge an Ecoflow Delta Pro and you will get the same amount of energy stored.

Summary:
1 gallon gets you 3600wh of energy using this generator. That's $5.
If you fully charge an Ecoflow Delta Pro, you also get to store 3600wh of energy, but you will only spend less than a dollar. Free if you charge it using solar.

PS:
This is just a rough calculation. There are many other things to consider such as Efficiency and they are not factored in. Also, consider the price of each. Not saying this or that is better, I am just showing comparison.
Do you buy a regular gallon on milk for $4 that expires in 10 days or an gallon of Organic milk that costs $8 and expires in 20 days. Your calculations lead to no logical conclusion.

How much more does the EcoFlow Delta Pro cost?

If you're on a tight budget, would be using this on a clean surface and/or willing to modify the air intake, and willing to take a risk with a refurb, you likely won't find an inverter gen much cheaper than this. Otherwise, I'd recommend spending an extra $140 on a brand new WEN, assuming 2000 starting / 1600 running watts is all you need.

Why is it that all the food carts that run 20 hrs per day every day use a Honda.

Read what you quoted.
I did read what I quoted. It doesn't have the price, just a name. A completely different user claimed a price. If that price is correct, your comparison is ridiculous.

The things we notice... agreed.

The only sort of Honda clones that I've seen in regular rotation is one of the smaller blue Yamaha 2200i's which is along my morning walk and wonder if that thing is gonna hold up and what kind of maintenance they perform on them.

My wonder then shifts to disgust after watching these guys refill the gas without a funnel (gas can spout be damned as that just slows things down), no gloves, get back into their cart and resume slinging breakfast sandwiches. Ah, NYC.
