I'd suggest the hotel - ITC Grand Chola. Stayed there for 3 weeks and it was an amazing place. Make sure you get the breakfast and ask for Masala Dosa.. it's excellent with a few cups of filter coffee. If this your first time to India be prepared for crazy driving, there are lines painted on the road but they don't mean anything.

I booked the same for $900, travel in November. Etihad. If one has flexibility, there are deals to be found, just using google flights.

$900 doesn't seem like a deal. The average seems to be around $800 on the middle eastern carriers (except emirates which is over a grand)

I've seen people just have a browser tab open on their phone and laptop they check a few times a day. I assume there are also some hidden sites for this with dates on routes that commonly go for cheap
