This checks almost all the boxes for me except I do not want a glossy screen.

Bought one, really good laptop, decent screen. Doing some video encoding. For the price, it is ok. There have been some deals here and there. It just depends if you need one now, solid choice.

How much do we expect the battery life in generally? 6 hours is pretty good. Our office laptops dont even lasts more than 3 hours 😒

In my experience, if they mentioned "xxGb RAM (Soldered)" then none is replaceable. When both are replaceable it obviously isn't soldered, and when just 1 is replaceable, they tend to save that info for the spec sheet.

I recently got a Latitude 7430 with the i7-1270P and man does that thing overheat (especially compared to my previous Thinkpad t14 with the AMD 5850U). Companies are using these P CPU's in slim laptops but typically don't have the proper cooling needed for them. I'd imagine this Lenovo is very similar. Aside from that, I paid 2x more for my Latitude 7430 with similar specs Smilie

I have last gen's AMD-powered Carbon 14 version of this laptop, similar screen I think, as this one is 100% RGB and mine is a little better than that. Same battery, it appears.

Regarding the screen, specifically, mine is really good and I use it for photo editing on DXO Photo Lab IV...although this computer isn't the fastest tool for doing it by any means.

The battery life is OK, and downright decent if you run the screen at 50% brightness or less. At 400 nits, it's really bright anyways.

The best part about the Slim 7 line is how small of a footprint the laptop has--super-portable in a backpack.

I am looking for a coding laptop. Waiting to see if I can get any deals on Dell Inspiron or XPS to use Amex $120 credit offer. Any suggestions on grab this laptop or wait for Dell?

I would wait. While I love the screen and it is glossy, it does heat up. Not that is unbearable, but I would wait if you plan on using it on your lap. I have mine on a desk, so I do not mind.

For a coding laptop at this price I would actually recommend a used or refurbished m1 air. Been using mine every single day since I got it on preorder in 2020. I also bought this laptop for when I do the occasional .NET/C# coding. Even though this is 2 years newer my m1 still feels faster in many ways. And the battery life is no competition
